Do I get Admiralâ€^™s lounge access with my Citi AAdvantage Platinum Select card?

Unfortunately not. 

Despite a healthy sign-up bonus of 60,000 American AAdvantage miles after spending $2,500 in the first three months of account opening (worth approximately $840), the card does not offer Admiral’s lounge access.

So what are the benefits anyway?

This is not a luxury travel card, but it does offer a few perks for those that like to travel frequently with American Airlines. 

Advantages include:

• Preferred boarding on American Airlines flights
• A free checked bag on domestic flights American Airlines itineraries for you and up to four other travel companions
• A 25% discount on eligible in-flight purchases when using your card
• Access to reduced mileage awards 
• A $125 flight discount following a spend of $20,000 or more on your card during your membership year after renewal of the card

Note: for AAdvantage elite members, as some of these perks are already offered, this card may not offer as much added value. Those that have not earned this status yet can enjoy some elite-status-like benefits with this card, however.
