Should I get a Blue Cash card?

If groceries are a large portion of your expenditure, getting a Blue Cash card makes sense, as it has some of the highest available cashback in the market. However, it is important to keep in mind that American Express is not as widely accepted as Visa and Mastercard and you may sometimes need to carry an extra card just in case, especially when traveling abroad.

If you are fee averse, want a simpler cashback scheme, don’t need perks, or want to make a large balance transfer, you should go with the Blue Cash EveryDay card. If you spend a lot on groceries, want a large introductory bonus and want to take advantage of many perks, the Blue Cash Preferred card is a better fit for you (keep in mind that if you spend $31 a week on groceries, the annual fee of the Blue Cash Preferred are offset). Thus, take a look at your lifestyle, and use your discretion as to which one is right for you.
