Although the Blue Cash Preferred® Card from American Express is not metal, it is still a great everyday card at a reasonable price of $95 annually (See Rates and Fees). Currently, the only American Express® cards that are made out of metal are the Gold Card, The Platinum Card®, the Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant Card, and the Centurion Card. Although this card is not made out of metal, there are still a lot of attractive features to it.

Design

Although this card is not metal, it still comes with a sleek design for those who care about how their credit card looks. This card comes in a prestigious navy blue color, adding a little spice to the card design. Also, in the center of the card sits the centurion, which is present in all of American Express’s most luxurious credit cards. Between the color and the design, you can pay easily and look sharp while doing it.

Perks

For only $95 annually (See Rates and Fees), the Blue Cash Preferred card offers 6% cash back at U.S. supermarkets, 6% cash back on streaming subscriptions, 3% cash back on transit (trains, taxis, rideshare, etc), 3% cash back at U.S. gas stations, and 1% cash back on other eligible purchases. Very few cards offer up to 6% cash back, making this card one of the most rewarding cash back cards. Also, the card comes with a $300 welcome offer, along with 0% APR on purchases for 12 months after account opening (See Rates and Fees). All of these rewards make the Blue Cash Preferred card one of the best cash back cards at a reasonable price.

Conclusion

The American Express Blue Cash Preferred card still offers a deluxe look despite not being made out of metal. Accompanying the sleek look is a generous rewards system, allowing you to earn great cash back rewards at a low annual cost.
